Cagrilintide is a long-acting amylin analogue developed and being researched for the treatment of obesity and weight management.

Mechanism: It mimics the natural hormone amylin, which is co-secreted with insulin by pancreatic β-cells. Amylin helps regulate appetite, slow gastric emptying, and promote satiety (feeling of fullness).
