Kisspeptin-10 is a synthetic peptide and is a potent stimulator of reproductive hormone release. It works by binding to the GPR54 receptor (also known as KISS1R) in the hypothalamus, which triggers the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). That GnRH signal prompts the pituitary gland to secrete luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). These, in turn, regulate testosterone production in men and ovarian function in women.  Because of this, Kisspeptin-10 is popular in the clinical research areas of:

• Infertility treatment
• Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism
